The Beginning
I first began filming when I was a child. Constantly running off with my friends, dressing up, and putting together silly short films. With limited resources and a low income, I relied purely on my imagination. Whether it was tablets, my first phone, or my cousins’ camera… I made it happen. I never realized how far this silly hobby would take me, how much it would mean, or the significance it would hold in my life. Until I looked back to where it all started - The very, very beginning. It was my first time visiting my mums’ country, Trinidad and Tobago. I vividly remember feeling a rush of adrenaline as I gazed out the car window, driving up the mountain. They were the first mountains I’d ever seen, after the first flight I’d ever taken, visiting family I’d never met, sharing all of my favorite foods with all of my favorite people. I felt gratitude overflowed within me, and I wanted to yell. I had to share this feeling with the world. How lucky was I, I thought? I wanted so badly to freeze time, to slow it down for just a second. Soak it up, before it slipped away. So I took my out my phone and took a picture, and just for a second… I could breathe, I could exist without the fear of what’s next. I could fully absorb what I was feeling. It was in that moment I realized it was more than just a hobby, but even then, with all the imagining I’d spent my time on, I never could have imagined the passion that would ignite a fire in my heart - a desire, a longing to share this feeling, these visions, my imaginations with the world. My heart. I was eager to connect, to inspire, and leave a lasting impression.
The journey had just begun.
Imagination to Image
So many ideas, so many thoughts, so many feelings I failed to put into words, but I could always photograph them. I began to dress up, paying attention to keen details, and coming up with concepts. It became my art, my expression - the way I’d say everything and nothing at all. And well, you know the phrase, ‘Follow your dreams.’ So, I did. I began to invest in cameras, backdrops, lighting, memory cards, and even a car. I dedicated my time, energy, and tears to honing my skills, pouring my heart and soul into my imagination. Years later, from the beginning, I finally took on my first client. Ah, there was that feeling again - 100,000 thoughts and only one way I could really share them. Slowly but surely, I began filming for family, friends, friends of friends, and businesses. My clientele grew quickly, and I became clustered, overwhelmed, struggling to balance my creative vision with client demands. The dream was never income; it was to have the ability to tell stories through my lens. I took a step back to refocus in search for a balance in between the two. Instead of narrowing down to one niche to make ends meet, I stumbled upon what would quickly become my favorite photography quote: ‘if you wonder what someone fears losing, look at what they photograph.’ It struck a chord within me, bringing me back to the beginning and reminding me of what I cherish: Life’s beauty and forgotten moments we often overlook. So, rather than narrowing down to one niche, I’ve broadened up my art even more, creating freely and continuing to cater to all kinds of people all over the world, eating all of their favorite foods with all of their favorite people!
Why It's Worth it

In today’s fast-pace world, I understand it can be a hard decision where you invest your time and money. My promise to you, as my client, is to freeze time and slow it down for just a second, allowing you to fully soak it up and absorb the moment.
